We have a complex relationship with our mobile phones that is more than screen deep. Mobile phone use and the impact it has had upon society is a is a contemporary social issue with far-reaching effects on our community’s safety, health and wellbeing.

In this lesson, students will consider the experiences of one of the young people from It’s People Like Us – Karla – and her change in mindset about the joint responsibility that we all have to ensure that people are safe on the roads. Students will create a mind-map to highlight and connect people who are affected by dangerous actions on the roads, and then work together to share a message about people’s responsibility to keep each other safe on the roads.
