The Bike Ed program gives children and adults the opportunity to learn about safe riding behaviours, road rules, and riding in a shared environment. The program uses practical lessons to ensure all riders have the physical abilities to ride safely and support older students to ride independently.
Bike Ed is designed to build the skills of riders progressively, from the early years of primary school through to secondary school. It integrates with the Victorian Curriculum and has been specifically developed for delivery in Victorian schools.
As well as helping children, parents, teachers, and potential instructors improve their own riding ability, the Bike Ed website contains links to high quality programs that extend these benefits to the broader community.
