Program
Bike Ed Accreditation and Training
Bike Ed Instructor Training is important for running a safe, compliant and successful Bike Ed program in schools. This training is for teachers, school staff, and community members who are helping with the program.
The training is free and easy to access!
The best way to take part is by hosting a training session at your school. Sessions run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and need:
- 9:00 – 11:00 AM: A classroom with AV equipment.
- 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: A suitable outdoor space (about the size of two basketball courts).
- Afternoon: A group ride off-site.
You need at least 5 staff members to host a session. This can include teachers and school support staff from your school or nearby schools. We will provide an Eventbrite link to share with others.
If your school would like to host a session, please complete theBike Ed Instructor Training App to Host
If you can’t host, you can join an existing session. We have several sessions planned each term. Follow our Eventbrite page to see all upcoming sessions. Note: Each session is limited to 10 participants for safety.
If your desired session is full or held at a time that doesn’t work for you, you can join the Bike Ed Instructor Training WAITING LIST. An email update will be sent out with additional training opportunities.
