Secondary School
Secondary school students are beginning to travel independently. In early secondary school, exploring pedestrian, public transport and cycling safety is an important part of their road safety education development. As a student enters a pre driver age, positive role modelling of safe road user behaviour remains vital as well as introducing information around young driver safety issues, including speed, alcohol and other drugs, fatigue, peer group pressure and distractions (including passengers) while driving.
